Responsibilities
- Integrate machine learning models into realtime animation systems
- Develop systems that translate audio, text, and intent into avatar motion
- Work with generative AI models for:
- Facial animation
- Character behavior
- Build and maintain animation data pipelines
- Fine-tune and optimize ML models for production environments
- Collaborate closely with Behavior and LLM teams
- Develop tools and workflows for Technical Artists
- Optimize runtime performance across CPU, GPU, memory, and latency constraints
- Support automation and validation systems for animation assets
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Machine Learning, animation systems, or related technical roles
- Hands-on experience with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow
- Experience integrating ML systems into production environments
- Experience with realtime engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine
- Strong understanding of:
- Animation systems
- Skeletal animation
- Experience building data processing pipelines and working with animation datasets
- Experience with generative AI models, including diffusion and transformer-based systems
- Familiarity with runtime optimization,
scalability, and CPU/GPU performance
Nice to Have
- Experience working with realtime avatar systems
- Background in animation tooling or game technologies
- Experience optimizing ML systems for mobile and web platforms
