Machine Learning Platform Engineer
Type: Cloud, DevOps & InfrastructureHybrid 2 days at the office / MDE only
Role Overview
Lean Tech is seeking a Machine Learning Platform Engineer to help design, build, and scale our machine learning platform and data-driven product capabilities.
This role is critical to enabling high-impact ML solutions that drive business value and maximize profitability.
You will work at the intersection of platform engineering, machine learning, and product development—owning systems end-to-end while collaborating cross-functionally with engineers, data scientists, and product leaders.
This is an opportunity to contribute to strategic roadmap initiatives, improve platform performance, and shape the future of ML-powered products at scale.
Required Qualifications (Main skills)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of experience in MLOps, including feature stores, model registries, and model serving




3+ years of experience building scalable backend services in Python with FastApi
Strong experience with ML/data libraries such as Scikit-learn, Pandas, and NumPy
2+ years of experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)
Experience designing scalable, maintainable distributed systems
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in cloud-native environments
Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals, including both traditional ML and deep learning
Strong system design skills, including microservices and event-driven architectures
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Nice to Have
Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face
Familiarity with experimentation platforms such as Statsig
Experience working with Elasticsearch or similar search technologies
