We are seeking a proactive and detailoriented Work Health and Safety Specialist to lead and support the implementation of workplace health and safety programs in compliance with Colombian regulations. This role will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment, promoting employee wellbeing, and maintaining full compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Management System SGSST.

The ideal candidate will work closely with HR, operations, and leadership teams to foster a culture of prevention, safety, and continuous improvement.

Implement employee wellbeing, engagement, and organizational culture initiatives.
Ensure the proper operation, organization, and maintenance of the office.
Coordinate vendors general services, maintenance, supplies.
Manage purchasing, inventories, and control of selected administrative resources.
Support logistics for meetings, internal events, and visits.
Oversee facility and safety conditions within the office premises.
Implement, maintain, and continuously improve the Occupational Health and Safety Management System SGSST in compliance with Colombian legal requirements.
Ensure compliance with current Colombian regulations related to SGSST.
Identify, assess, and mitigate workplace risks through inspections, audits, and preventive actions.
Design and deliver training programs on wellbeing, health, safety, and risk prevention.
Lead incident and accident investigations, ensuring proper documentation and implementation of corrective actions.




Monitor and report key Occupational Health and Safety indicators KPIs and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Coordinate medical examinations, occupational health programs, and employee wellness initiatives.
Manage relationships with external entities such as ARL, healthcare providers, and regulatory authorities.
Support emergency response planning and ensure organizational preparedness.
Promote a strong culture of wellbeing and safety through awareness campaigns and continuous communication.
Contribute to the planning and execution of employee wellbeing initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, Human Resources, or a related field.
Certification or specialization in Occupational Health and Safety SST is required.
25 years of experience in SST.
Strong knowledge of Colombian labor laws and SGSST regulations.
Experience working with ARL processes and occupational risk management.
Familiarity with audits, inspections, and compliance processes.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Intermediate level of English.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of ISO standards e.g., ISO 45001.
Experience with HR systems or reporting tools.
Experience working with international companies, particularly U.S.based organizations.
