We are seeking an experienced and self‑motivated Regulatory Officer (Telecom) to join our integral legal and regulatory team. This pivotal individual contributor role will allow you to independently manage complex regulatory matters, with an initial priority on the Latin‑American (LATAM) region while supporting broader international initiatives.
You will act as a key subject matter expert on telecoms regulation. This is a unique opportunity for a regulatory professional who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys navigating uncharted regulatory territories,
and is eager to shape market strategies in a rapidly evolving digital communications landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, interpret and advise on new and evolving telecoms legislation globally with LATAM priority, and assess its impact on the business
- Proactively engage with regulators, government authorities and industry bodies to obtain licenses, resolve ambiguities and represent the company’s interests
- Act independently in countries or regulatory frameworks with little or no precedent, providing practical, commercially sound advice
- Support and guide cross‑functional teams (e.g. product, sales, carrier relations) by providing practical regulatory input to help shape market entry strategies and ensure operational compliance
- Manage regulatory applications, licenses, reporting obligations and related processes, often coordinating with local counsel or consultants
- Identify regulatory risks and propose mitigation strategies in close collaboration with internal stak
