Purpose
Contributes to the organization’s cybersecurity posture by identifying, analyzing, and contextualizing cyber threats that may impact business operations, technology environments, and customers. This role transforms technical and strategic intelligence from multiple sources into timely, actionable insights to support risk informed decision making across security operations, incident response, and senior leadership. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Accountabilities
- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Conduct research and analysis of cyber threat activity, including threat actors, campaigns, vulnerabilities, and emerging techniques, to assess potential impact to the organization.
- Maintain ongoing situational awareness of the LATAM cyber threat landscape, monitoring relevant geopolitical, sectoral, and criminal activity.




- Strive in creating quality technical papers documenting security threats, risks, and mitigation techniques.
- Driven to take part in initiatives to provide security-focused recommendations to the organization based on intelligence findings.
- Proficient in communicating situational awareness and technical intelligence to internal and external stakeholders and trusted partners with a focus in LATAM region.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Integral Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
