We are seeking a Senior NestJS Developer in LATAM. This remote role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic team on exciting projects while ensuring seamless coordination across time zones.
Responsibilities
- Participate in technical planning and requirements gathering, designing modular, testable, and maintainable backend architectures specifically within the NestJS framework.
- Develop and maintain high-quality APIs (REST and GraphQL) and microservices using NestJS, TypeScript, and RxJS.
- Leverage NestJS features such as Dependency Injection, Modules, Decorators, Guards, Pipes, and Interceptors to ensure code modularity and reusability.
- Ensure adherence to industry best practices for backend development, including performance optimization, security (Helmet, CORS), and scalability.
- Work with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL, utilizing ORMs ideally suited for NestJS (such as TypeORM or Prisma).
- Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and other stakeholders to deliver seamless, high-performing applications.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines,



containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for deployment and automation.
- Stay up to date with the NestJS ecosystem updates and modern backend development trends.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend development with Node.js and TypeScript.
- 3+ years of specific, hands-on experience designing and building applications using NestJS.
- Deep proficiency in TypeScript (interfaces, types, generics) is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), SOLID principles, Dependency Injection, and Event-Driven Architecture.
- Experience working with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) and proficiency with TypeORM or Prisma.
- Familiarity with API development standards, authentication strategies (OA uth, JWT, Passport.js strategy implementation), and security best practices.
