Overview
At Blankfactor , we’re looking for a Payments Architect with a strong engineering background to lead the design and development of innovative solutions within the payments domain. This role is idóneo for someone who combines deep technical expertise with strategic thinking and is passionate about building scalable, high-performance systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and design end-to-end solutions for complex payment systems and pricing engines
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to gather requirements and define the technical roadmap
- Provide hands-on technical leadership across all phases of the software development lifecycle
- Ensure architecture aligns with industry standards, security, and compliance best practices
- Guide the selection of technologies, frameworks, and tools to support engineering goals
- Support and mentor engineering teams,



promoting clean architecture and coding practices

Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a lead or architecture role
- Expertise in payments systems, transaction processing, or financial technology platforms
- Proven experience designing pricing engines or complex rule-based systems
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms (preferably AWS), microservices architecture, and API design
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams

Nice to Have
- Experience working with global distributed teams
- Background in high-throughput and low-latency system design
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements in fintech
