About Solutions by Hope
Solutions by Hope connects independent professionals in Colombia with U.S. companies that need ongoing support. We work with a network of experienced contractors and match them to engagements that fit their skills.
Engagements are long-term and stable. You aren’t bidding for tasks on a marketplace or rotating between clients every few weeks — you work with one company, learn their business, and become someone they rely on.
We’re small and direct. You’ll always know what’s expected, and we pay in USD, on time.
English Requirement
English requirement — please read carefully
This engagement requires C1 (advanced) spoken English. You’ll be on live phone and video calls with U.S. clients, vendors, and customers regularly. You need to handle an unscripted conversation, understand American accents over a phone line, and be understood without the other person straining.
The first interview is conducted entirely in English. Please don’t apply if you aren’t comfortable with that.
Engagement details
- Independent contractor engagement. You invoice Solutions by Hope monthly based on hours worked and tasks completed
- USD paid per month. Rates depend on scope and experience (Generally $1500 - $2500 USD/Month per client)
- Typical workload: 25–40 hours per week, varying with the engagement and number of clients
- 100% remote, from anywhere in Colombia
- Work needs to overlap meaningfully with U.S. business hours across Eastern to Pacific time zones — how you arrange your day is up to you
- You use your own equipment and manage your own schedule. Based on position, you may be eligible for a rental laptop or partial reimbursement.
- You’re free to take on other clients
- Qualified clients that SBH accepts are requested as long-term engagements, not short-term gigs
How to apply Apply through LinkedIn with your CV in English, plus a 2-minute Loom or video recording covering:
- Who you are and what you’ve done
- Why this kind of work interests you
- A time you handled a difficult customer, or a mistake you made and what you did about it
Applications without the recording won’t be reviewed.
About the work
You're the voice of the business to its clients. You own the communication thread on every project from booking through close-out — making sure nothing falls through, nobody gets surprised, and every question gets answered the same day.
Suits someone organized by instinct who genuinely likes people. The difference between a good week and a bad one is usually whether someone followed up.
What the engagement covers
Owning client communication across active projects as the single point of contact
- Pre-project follow-up — confirming details, dates, access, and expectations before work begins
- Post-project follow-up — confirming completion, catching issues early, requesting reviews
- Chasing missing information from clients, sales, and operations to get files complete
- Handling inbound calls, emails, and messages promptly and in full
- Flagging communication issues, at-risk accounts, and recurring problems to the sales and operations teams
- Keeping CRM records clean and current
What we’re looking for
- C1 spoken English — non-negotiable, you're on the phone with U.S. clients constantly
- 2+ years in customer service, account coordination, client success, or similar client-facing work
- Comfortable making outbound calls to people who weren't expecting you
- Tracks your own follow-ups without being reminded
- Calm with an upset customer — doesn't take it personally, doesn't get defensive
- CRM experience (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, or similar)
- Reliable internet and a quiet space for calls
- Helpful, not required
- Background in service, trades, logistics, or home services
- Written English strong enough to send client-facing email without review
