Role Overview
Job Duck is seeking a detail‑oriented and empathetic Legal Assistant to support a busy family law practice by managing essential administrative and intake operations. In this role, you will serve as a key support partner, handling front‑office coordination, client communications, and case organization that allows the attorney to focus on legal work. You will interact directly with clients, many of whom are navigating sensitive personal matters, requiring professionalism, emotional intelligence, and clear communication at all times. This role is adecuado for someone who is proactive,
self‑motivated, and comfortable taking ownership of tasks while knowing when to seek guidance. If you thrive in structured environments, value accuracy, and enjoy contributing to meaningful client outcomes, this role offers both stability and purpose.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST
Your Responsibilities Will Include but Are Not Limited To:
- Handling incoming and outgoing calls, appointments, and front-office operations
- Performing daily administrative and online-based tasks
- Completing intake coordinator duties and collecting client information
- Drafting basic legal documents
- Performing e-filings accurately and on time
- Tracking billable hours to support case management
- Managing and tracking cases within firm systems
- Following up consistently with clients regarding case matters
- Communicating professionally with the attorney and aligning with esta
