Description
We are looking for an Engineer with experience in Lean Manufacturing and process improvement to analyze and optimize manufacturing operations. The role focuses on time studies, labor standards, process analysis, workflow, and plant layout to improve productivity, efficiency, and labor utilization while reducing waste and costs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct time studies and labor analysis using observations, operational data, and videos.
- Analyze processes, workflows, and plant layouts to identify bottlenecks, waste, and inefficiencies.
- Develop and maintain labor standards and productivity metrics.
- Identify and implement improvements using Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen.
- Perform process mapping and root-cause analysis.
- Evaluate staffing and labor requirements.
- Recommend changes to improve productivity, cycle times, and labor efficiency.
- Work with Operations, Engineering,
and Continuous Improvement teams to standardize best practices.
Requirements
- Engineering degree, preferably Industrial Engineering; Mechanical, Manufacturing, Production, or Operations Engineering also considered.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Lean Manufacturing, process improvement, or manufacturing.
- Knowledge of time studies, labor measurement, process mapping, and root-cause analysis.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing/Kaizen.
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze processes and translate findings into measurable productivity improvements.
