Position: Delivery Manager
Location: LATAM region Experience: 8–10 years of relevant experience in credit card issuing and processing
Role Objective
To act as the client-facing interface for CoreCard credit card processing projects in the LATAM region, ensuring effective communication and alignment between the client and the CoreCard team. CoreCard owns development, implementation, quality certification, production deployments, and project management.
The Delivery Manager owns the client front: representing CoreCard before the client, ensuring both sides understand each other, and removing the language and cultural barriers that would otherwise slow the project down. Solid credit card domain expertise is essential, as the role requires holding substantive conversations with an experienced client team without acting as a mere intermediary.
Key Responsibilities
Client Interface and Communication
•Act as the single point of contact for the client across all project communications
•Convey client business requirements, concerns, and priorities to the CoreCard project team accurately and in the level of detail the team needs
•Communicate CoreCard's technical decisions, plans, and constraints back to the client in clear business terms and in the client's language
•Ensure that nothing agreed with the client is lost, distorted, or delayed in translation between the two sides
Domain Interpretation
•Interpret client requirements in credit card business terms, identifying implications across the card lifecycle before they are passed to the CoreCard team
•Discuss product configuration, card operations, and functional gaps with the client on their own terms,
without depending on the CoreCard team for every technical clarification
•Flag the implications of client requests early
Expectation and Relationship Management
•Build and maintain trusted relationships with client stakeholders at all levels, from executives to individual technical contributors
•Manage client expectations on scope, sequencing, and timelines, in line with what the CoreCard project team has committed
•Anticipate and surface misalignment between the client's understanding and the CoreCard team's plan before it becomes an issue
•Guide the client through the project with a consultancy approach
Client Governance
•Represent CoreCard in client-facing governance forums, including status reviews, steering committees, and escalation calls
•Present project status, progress, and risks to the client based on the reporting produced by the CoreCard project team
•Channel client escalations to the appropriate CoreCard owners and follow through until closure
Qualifications and Experience
Credit Card Domain Expertise (mandatory)
•Solid, demonstrable knowledge of the credit card business, gained through hands-on experience with an issuer, processor, or card technology provider
•Strong command of the full credit card lifecycle, including:
- Product definition, application, origination, and underwriting
- Card issuance, personalization, activation, and reissuance
- Authorization, clearing, and settlement
- Billing cycles, statements, interest and fee calculation, and payments
- Revolving credit, installment plans, and cash advance
- Delinquency, collections, disputes, and chargebacks
- Card closure, renewal, and portfolio migration
•Working knowledge of card network rules and operations (VISA, Mastercard and AMEX. Diners is a plus) •Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements applicable to card issuing in the region
General Experience
•8–10 years of experience in the payments industry, with exposure to credit card processing platform projects
•Proven experience in senior client-facing roles within a vendor-to-client relationship
•Familiarity with card processing platforms such as CoreCard or equivalent
•Experience supporting clients through large-scale platform migrations
Key Skills and Competencies
•Professional fluency in both Spanish and English is mandatory. Client interaction is conducted in Spanish; coordination with the CoreCard team is conducted in English
•Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, in both languages
•Ability to translate between business and technical language in the credit card domain, in both directions
•Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities
•Consultative approach, with the ability to guide and advise the client
•High sense of ownership and accountability for the client relationship
•Ability to remain composed and credible in high-pressure client situations and escalations
•Familiarity with the LATAM market and ability to work in the client's time zone
