The Qualifications We Seek
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience as a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Support Engineer, IT Systems Administrator, NOC Engineer, Network Operations Engineer, or in a similar role within web, networking, or information security companies
- Must have the ability to work 24/7 rotating shift coverage and provide on-call support as required
Must have
- Experience with: ISP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, HTTP/HTTPS
- Ability to read application system logs and identify relevant root causes of issues
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a passion for solving complex technical problems in live production environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Advantage
- Experience working with a Cloud or SaaS technology provider
- Familiarity with networking and security protocols and standards
- Strong computer skills with emphasis on Networking, TCP/IP, Firewalls, Proxy servers
- Ability to adapt and work efficiently in a rapidly changing environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work effectively with globally dispersed, cross-cultural teams
Your Daily Tasks
- Work as part of a shift-based team providing 24/7/365 operational coverage
- Own and manage production system uptime and functionality by troubleshooting and resolving system and network issues
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to identify and resolve incidents
- Engage with customers by investigating issues, providing updates, and following up on service status
- Track and monitor system health while identifying areas of concern and opportunities for improvement
- Mitigate outages and system malfunctions while escalating incidents based on priority and urgency to the Engineering team
- Coordinate with third-party service providers to resolve network and system issues
- Provide higher-tier support for customer issues related to last-mile connectivity
- Help build,
improve, and expand the Network Operations Center team
- Train and support team members to address knowledge gaps
- Participate in ongoing projects and customer onboarding activities
- Join customer welcome calls to introduce services and support the onboarding process
- Serve as a focal point for support and field engineering teams by understanding customer business use cases
- Drive continual service improvement by reviewing, updating, and creating processes and procedures that strengthen operational excellence
