Team members join a company that values excellence, attention to detail, and meaningful guest experiences.Role DescriptionThe Expedition Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in Lisboa, supporting guests and partners in planning and booking Aqua Expeditions' luxury small-ship journeys.
This role involves advising prospective guests on itineraries, destinations, and onboard experiences, responding to inquiries via phone, email, and digital channels, and guiding guests through the reservation process from first contact to confirmed booking.
The Expedition Consultant collaborates with sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure accurate information on availability, pricing, and special offers, and maintains up-to-date knowledge of all routes and ships.
Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing personalized proposals,



managing and updating booking records, coordinating pre- and post-cruise details, and following up with guests and travel advisors to nurture long-term relationships.
The role also requires proactive problem-solving, attention to service quality, and adherence to Aqua Expeditions' standards of luxury hospitality.QualificationsExperience in luxury travel, cruise, or hospitality consulting, with strong destination knowledge and an understanding of high-end guest expectations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen actively, present options clearly, and build trust with guests and travel partners.Strong customer service and relationship management capabilities, with a focus on personalized experiences and follow-through from inquiry to post-trip feedback.Proficiency with reservation systems, CRM tools, and standard office software, plus strong organizational skills for managing multiple inquiries and bookings.Fluency in English (spoken and written); additional languages such as Portuguese and Spanish are highly beneficial.Ability to work on-site in Lisboa, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, international environment.Prior experience in sales or consultative selling and a results-oriented mindset, while maintaining a service-first approach.Relevant educational background in tourism, hospitality, business, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
