Intermediate Instrumentation & Controls Designer

Hycroft is looking for an Intermediate Instrumentation & Controls Designer who can work independently on multi-project deliverables and mentor junior staff while producing high-quality instrumentation & controls design drawings.

About the Role

As an Intermediate Instrumentation & Controls Designer, you will independently produce P&IDs;, loop diagrams, instrument location drawings, control panel layouts, and instrument lists on multiple concurrent projects. You will coordinate with engineers, mentor junior designers, and contribute to CAD standards and best practices.

What You'll Do
- Independently produce P&IDs;, loop diagrams, instrument location drawings, control panel layouts, and instrument lists on multiple concurrent projects
- Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines on integrated designs
- Mentor junior designers and review their work




- Contribute to development of CAD standards, templates, and procedures
- Support estimating and proposal efforts with drawing samples and quantities
- Conduct site visits to verify field conditions and gather as-built data

What You Bring
- Diploma or certificate in CAD design, drafting, or related technical program
- 5-8 years of instrumentation & controls design design experience
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
- Solid knowledge of P&IDs;, ISA standards, and control system documentation
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables independently

- Experience with Revit, 3D modelling, or BIM workflows
