Purpose
Contributes to AML (Anti-Money Laundering) Investigations by conducting investigations into potential money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, and related risks.
Ensures all activities align with applicable regulations, internal policies, standards, and procedures.
Accountabilities
Investigations
Perform investigations to assess suspicious and/or high-risk activity.
Analyze client profiles and transactional activity to identify Reasonable Grounds to Suspect (RGS).
Produce clear, concise, and well-supported investigative documentation.
Risk Identification and Reporting
Identify and escalate high-risk clients and activity (e.g., Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), sanctions exposure, elevated risk indicators) in accordance with approved procedures.
Support timely and high-quality regulatory reporting (e.g.,
Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs)).
Recommend risk mitigation actions and client outcomes.
Case Management
Support intake, prioritization, and routing of cases.
Maintain accurate and complete case records.
Collaboration and Communication
Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
Partner with internal stakeholders to support investigations and risk mitigation.
Communicate findings through clear written summaries and structured presentation materials, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
Champion a high performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment.
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and investigative effectiveness.
