Together, let's build a brighter, healthier future for all.Role SummaryThe Legal Counsel will provide comprehensive legal support across all business units and functional areas in the Andean Region (Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela), reporting directly to the Senior Legal Director.
In this dynamic role, you will safeguard business operations by ensuring compliance with local regulations and Colgate policies, while driving strategic solutions in a multi-country environment.
You will own the region's advertising defense and challenge strategy, serving as a key legal partner to foster growth and protect Colgate's competitive position.ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic, business-oriented legal advice across the Andean region covering civil, commercial, labor, regulatory, data privacy, criminal, antitrust, consumer protection, and administrative law.Lead advertising legal strategy in partnership with Marketing and Global/Division Legal Specialists to assess, defend against competitor challenges, and challenge competitor advertising.Partner with Procurement and business teams to review, draft, and negotiate contracts while driving the adoption of digital tools such as Onit for lifecycle management and compliance.Represent the company in judicial, extrajudicial, and administrative proceedings, including mediation, conciliation hearings,



and government audits or inspections.Oversee litigation and claims in coordination with the Global Legal Organization (GLO) Litigation team and Finance, ensuring accurate legal reporting and optimal use of internal legal resources before engaging outside counsel.Collaboratively implement local legal compliance procedures with the Senior Legal Director, ensuring alignment with corporate policies across all five countries.Required QualificationsGraduated from an accredited Colombian Law school and duly admitted to practice law in Colombia.6+ years of experience practicing law in a multinational corporation or recognized law firm.Proven experience in contract negotiation, litigation oversight, and regulatory compliance.Professional fluency in English and Spanish.Preferred QualificationsMaster's Degree in Corporate Law or LL.M.
Prior experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.Strong functional competency in cross-border regional legal strategy and digital contract management tools (e.g., Onit).
