Our team is on the lookout for a UX Designer to join and support our ongoing initiatives. Translate creative and experience-based direction into functional UI specifications and prototypes designed for Unreal Engine production work. This position acts as the linking point between design goals and engineering delivery, charting interaction pathways, behavioral principles, navigation systems, and component architecture that work reliably across numerous platforms and input styles.
Responsibilities
- Set up UI flows, user journeys, and interaction pathways for in-game features and screens, converting them into specifications suitable for engineering handoff
- Grow and continually expand a versatile UI component system covering patterns, components, variants, and states to sustain consistency in design delivery
- Draft extensive behavioral standards covering focus and navigation flow, back-navigation processes, expected input responses, error/empty/loading conditions, and assorted edge cases
- Uphold constant, close teamwork with engineers on the client side along with UI artists to ensure designs remain practical, performant, and unified once brought into the engine
- Direct ongoing polish activities by reviewing finished builds, providing useful feedback, and revising designs in light of technical constraints and insights drawn from playtesting or QA work
Requirements
- Over two years of practical experience anchored in solid UI/UX skills, evidenced by shipped digital products or gaming interfaces
- Extensive capability with Figma, covering components, variants, auto-layout, reusable libraries, and documentation prepared for engineering handoff
- Able to produce implementation-ready materials, including annotated screen designs, interaction summaries, state diagrams, and precisely defined acceptance criteria
- Practical exposure to the specific limitations and workflows involved in creating UI for Unreal Engine
- Grasp of essential UMG fundamentals,
including layout, anchoring, scaling, and widget states/animations, sufficient to design accurately within engine boundaries
- Familiarity with focus-centered navigation methods along with the ability to accommodate different input types, such as controller and keyboard/mouse
- Solid history designing UI that adapts appropriately to varying resolutions, aspect ratios, and safe-area requirements
- Reasonable communication ability combined with English fluency at B2 level or higher, supporting precise understanding of business needs and their conversion into agentic architectures
Nice to have
- Understanding of UI framework norms specific to Unreal, including screen stacks, activatable views, and common navigation techniques
- Experience considering localization needs during design, including managing text expansion, truncation, and flexible layout solutions
- Consideration of accessibility and readability factors, including contrast, font sizing, and interfaces designed for couch-distance use
- Background working on live products defined by rapid iteration and steady release schedules
- Basic exposure to AI Assistant tools
- Earlier experience within the Gaming industry
