We're building out our team and inviting a UX Designer to come contribute to the work we have underway. Turn design vision and user-experience thinking into concrete UI specifications and prototypes suited for Unreal Engine production. This role stands at the intersection of design purpose and engineering execution, outlining interaction routes, behavioral logic, navigation setups, and component structures that perform consistently across many platforms and input variations.

Responsibilities

- Create UI flows, user journeys, and interaction routes for features and screens found in-game, shaping them into specifications engineers can build from
- Cultivate and continuously widen an adaptable UI component system that includes patterns, components, variants, and states to keep design delivery aligned
- Write out extensive behavioral rules covering focus and navigation order, back-navigation logic, anticipated input reactions, error/empty/loading conditions, and other edge cases
- Keep steady, hands-on collaboration going with client-side engineers and UI artists so designs remain workable, performant, and coherent once integrated into the engine
- Lead continuous refinement work by inspecting completed builds, offering meaningful feedback, and updating designs to reflect technical limitations and findings from playtesting or QA

Requirements

- More than two years of hands-on experience rooted in dependable UI/UX skills, shown through having delivered digital products or gaming interfaces
- Comprehensive command of Figma, including components, variants, auto-layout, reusable libraries, and documentation ready for engineering handoff
- Proficient at generating implementation-ready outputs, such as annotated screen designs, interaction overviews, state diagrams, and clearly specified acceptance criteria
- Real-world exposure to the particular constraints and processes tied to building UI within Unreal Engine
- Command of key UMG basics, including layout, anchoring, scaling,



and widget states/animations, adequate for designing precisely within engine limitations
- Understanding of navigation approaches centered around focus, along with the capability to support various input types, such as controller and keyboard/mouse
- Demonstrated history creating UI that adjusts suitably to different resolutions, aspect ratios, and safe-area constraints
- Workable communication skills combined with English fluency at B2 level or above, supporting exact understanding of business needs and their conversion into agentic architectures

Nice to have

- Awareness of UI framework standards unique to Unreal, including screen stacks, activatable views, and typical navigation approaches
- Experience factoring in localization requirements while designing, including managing text expansion, truncation, and adaptable layout approaches
- Attention to accessibility and readability considerations, including contrast, font sizing, and interfaces suited for couch-distance interaction
- Background contributing to live products characterized by fast iteration cycles and regular release patterns
- Introductory familiarity with AI Assistant tools
- Prior experience gained within the Gaming industry
