We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to strengthen the security and stability of business-critical enterprise applications by remediating vulnerabilities and improving code quality. You will work with existing systems, implement secure fixes, and collaborate with a distributed team.

Responsibilities

- Analyze security findings and prioritize remediation work across applications
- Implement secure code changes in Java and Spring Boot to remediate vulnerabilities
- Investigate existing code paths and select fixes that preserve business-critical behavior
- Upgrade vulnerable libraries, frameworks, and dependencies and address compatibility issues
- Build and maintain backend features and REST APIs while improving security posture
- Validate fixes through code review, testing, and peer feedback
- Troubleshoot issues introduced by remediation changes or dependency updates
- Write clean, maintainable, and secure code aligned with secure development practices
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and stakeholders to align on scope and risk
- Support continuous improvement of application security and technical quality
- Contribute to front-end updates when needed in applications that use Angular

Requirements

- 3+ years of commercial Java development experience
- Hands-on Spring Boot experience
- Proven experience working with enterprise applications and legacy codebases
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical decisions for secure remediation approaches
- Strong experience investigating security findings, identifying root causes,



and applying appropriate fixes
- Solid knowledge of REST API design and backend development fundamentals
- Practical understanding of common security vulnerabilities and secure coding practices
- Hands-on experience upgrading libraries and dependencies and resolving compatibility issues
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a distributed team
- Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2) for clear written and spoken communication

Nice to have

- Angular experience for occasional front-end updates
- Experience with security scanning or static analysis tools
- Hands-on background in security vulnerability remediation initiatives
