Key responsibilities:

Structural Design

- Provide accurate, clear, and detailed structural designs for steel buildings that comply with applicable codes, project requirements, and manufacturing constraints.
- Perform value engineering to develop design solutions that optimize costs without compromising public safety.

Technical Analysis and Review

- Interpret complex architectural and structural drawings to ensure the integrity of the building system.




- Coordinate with the Detailing Team (Tekla) to ensure the accurate transfer of design information from MBS to shop drawings.
- Perform cross-reviews of drawings and engineering calculations prepared by Level I and Level II Engineers, ensuring errors are identified and corrected before release to production.

Project and Priority Management

- Manage multiple overlapping projects while maintaining schedules and priorities, including last-minute changes or additions.
- Efficiently update and review modifications to original designs.

Mentoring and Technical Development

- Serve as a mentor to new team members and engineers in training.
- Foster a culture of innovative thinking and creative problem-solving.

Continuous Improvement

- Identify opportunities to improve productivity and accuracy within engineering processes.
- Stay current with the latest technologies and industry standards and codes worldwide.
- Proactively communicate needs and challenges to all team members to ensure timely problem resolution.
- Participate in the development of design tools, providing the necessary technical requirements.

Key qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, preferably with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience designing pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB) and highly complex steel structures.
- Demonstrated experience designing buildings with specialized requirements, including light- to medium-duty overhead cranes, mezzanines, and irregular geometries.
- Expert proficiency in MBS, SAP2000, ETABS, and IDEA StatiCa design software.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and intermediate proficiency in Tekla Structures or IFC models.
- Creative mindset for solving complex problems, with the ability to work independently in fast-paced environments and collaborate effectively.
- Strong autonomy in technical decision-making, assertive communication skills, and a focus on efficiently resolving problems under pressure.
- English proficiency preferred.
