We're adding to our team and searching for a UX Designer to contribute to this ongoing work. Convert creative and experience-oriented direction into practical UI specifications and prototypes built for Unreal Engine production contexts. This role serves as the connecting thread between design objectives and engineering implementation, mapping out interaction sequences, behavioral standards, navigation frameworks, and component structures that function consistently across a variety of platforms and input formats.

Responsibilities

- Establish UI flows, user journeys, and interaction sequences for in-game screens and features, shaping them into specifications ready for engineering work
- Develop and gradually broaden a versatile UI component library covering patterns, components, variants, and states to keep design implementation uniform
- Prepare comprehensive behavioral guidelines addressing focus and navigation flow, back-navigation handling, expected input behavior, error/empty/loading conditions, and various edge cases
- Maintain tight, ongoing collaboration with engineers on the client side and UI artists to verify designs stay realistic, performant, and consistent once integrated into the engine
- Manage continuous polish efforts by evaluating finished builds, sharing constructive feedback, and modifying designs based on technical boundaries and results gathered from playtesting or QA

Requirements

- Two-plus years of applied experience built on strong UI/UX capabilities, reflected in having shipped digital products or gaming interfaces
- Wide-ranging skill with Figma, encompassing components, variants, auto-layout, reusable libraries, and documentation suited for engineering handoff
- Competent at delivering implementation-ready assets, such as annotated screen designs, interaction overviews, state diagrams, and well-specified acceptance criteria
- Direct familiarity with the particular constraints and processes tied to constructing UI within Unreal Engine




- Understanding of fundamental UMG concepts, including layout, anchoring, scaling, and widget states/animations, sufficient to design within actual engine limitations
- Awareness of focus-driven navigation approaches along with the capacity to support various input types, such as controller and keyboard/mouse
- Established background designing UI that scales properly across differing resolutions, aspect ratios, and safe-area demands
- Adequate communication skills paired with English fluency at B2 level or higher, enabling accurate understanding of business needs and their translation into agentic architectures

Nice to have

- Familiarity with UI framework standards particular to Unreal, including screen stacks, activatable views, and typical navigation methods
- Background factoring localization considerations into design, including handling text expansion, truncation, and adaptable layouts
- Awareness of accessibility and readability aspects, including contrast, font sizing, and interfaces built for couch-distance use
- Experience contributing to live products marked by quick iteration and consistent release patterns
- Introductory familiarity with AI Assistant tools
- Prior background working in the Gaming industry
