We are looking for an experienced English Copy Editor to join our team on a fulltime, longterm basis, working primarily with professionally written Christian books and publishing content.
Responsibilities
Copy editing will include reviewing manuscripts on a linebyline basis to ensure they are clear, consistent, correct, and complete.
Key responsibilities include
Correcting grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and usage.
Ensuring consistency in style, terminology, capitalization, and formatting.
Improving clarity and readability while preserving the authors original voice and meaning.
Identifying inconsistencies, unclear wording, repetitions, and other editorial issues.
Following established editorial and style guidelines.
Delivering accurate, highquality work within agreed deadlines.
The manuscripts provided will already be professionally written. This position is focused on copy editing and quality improvement rather than extensive rewriting.
Requirements
C2 nearnative proficiency in English.
Excellent command of English grammar, punctuation, and editorial conventions.
Previous experience in copy editing, proofreading, publishing, or a related field.




Exceptional attention to detail.
Wellorganized and able to manage deadlines independently.
Resourceful and proactive, with the ability to identify issues and suggest solutions.
Excellent written communication skills.
Comfortable working with Christian content and terminology.
Experience editing Christian books, theological content, or publishing materials is a plus.
